care.coach and Feed.fm bring personalized music to 24/7 senior care platform

PR Newswire

New partnership brings curated, licensed music into care.coach's companion experience, giving participants more reasons to engage every day.

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- care.coach, a leader in digital health solutions for older adults and individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, has expanded its in-app music offering through a new partnership with Feed.fm, the leading unified music system for apps. Powered by Feed.fm's Branded Music Service, the experience brings licensed, curated music directly into the care.coach platform, with stations personalized around participant preferences.

"Our ability to support participants starts with consistent daily interaction. Music gives people another natural reason to engage with their companion and creates more opportunities for check-ins, reminders, and meaningful connection throughout the day." Kendra Seavey, CEO of care.coach

care.coach's model already shows measurable results among the participants who use it daily: a 74 percent reduction in falls, a 79 percent drop in emergency room visits, and a 3x reduction in reported loneliness. Those outcomes come from consistent daily engagement with the companion, and care.coach sees music as one of the most natural ways to build and sustain that engagement.

care.coach delivers 24/7 companionship through an avatar participants name themselves, such as Milo the dog, backed by a team of human Health Advocates who check in daily, catch changes a family member might miss, and share real-time updates with families and care teams. The service has worked with PACE programs, state Medicaid programs, Medicare Advantage Programs and individual consumers across the United States for more than 10 years.

The expanded music experience adds genre-themed stations, including classic rock, Latin, classic crooners, and ambient, informed by participant preferences that care.coach already collects. Participants can request music or a specific station directly through the care.coach companion, without navigating logins or menus. The companion can also introduce music naturally throughout the day, for example, during a morning check-in, around a medication reminder or coaching interaction, or simply as an opportunity for connection.

The potential of music to create those moments became clear when one new care.coach participant was initially reluctant to engage with the technology. The companion played Frank Sinatra, a favorite of her late husband, and the familiar music helped turn an unfamiliar technology into something personal. She took the care.coach tablet home that day and continues to use the service, including listening to Sinatra and other favorites through its Classic Crooners station.

"The best digital health experiences give people reasons to come back that go beyond the functional aspects of care," says Lauren Pufpaf, COO of Feed.fm. "Music can make those experiences more personal, familiar, and enjoyable, and care.coach is a great example of how it can be thoughtfully integrated into someone's everyday routine."

"We think of music as an engagement multiplier," said Kendra Seavey, CEO of care.coach. "Our ability to support participants starts with consistent daily interaction. Music gives people another natural reason to engage with their companion and creates more opportunities for check-ins, reminders, and meaningful connection throughout the day."
